The Penhall Company has immediate opening for an experienced Concrete Grinder Operator in Sacramento, CA to join our Highway, Runway, Bridge national project teams.  Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in diamond grinding industry.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Strong mechanical abilities, ability to communicate and interact with managers & customers, ability to complete all necessary daily paper work applicable to Penhall, DOT, FMCSA, and IFTA requirements, ability to work without continuous supervision.
  • Pass a required pre-employment drug screen and pre-employment background check (7 years).
  • Willingness to travel on a year round basis, work all shifts including extended hours as well as working in weather conditions that may be adverse (hot/cold/rain).
  • Must possess a valid unrestricted Class A CDL with a tanker endorsement and have a good driving history.
  • Safety and team oriented, willing to work hard, dependable, reliable, and accountable, career oriented, willing to learn, able to lift & move 45lbs or more, mathematical aptitude helpful, computer skills a plus.

Requirements:

  • Must have a least 1 year experience in diamond grinding industry. Additional experience with concrete sawing, cutting and/or removal preferred.
  • Transport and operate Penhall Company's specialized heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Interact with job site supervisors and complete daily job related paperwork & safety planning.
  • Operate safely, inspect, repair & perform general preventative maintenance as well as maintain cleanliness of all company equipment.
  • Must adhere to Penhall, DOT, FMCSA, and IFTA requirements and paperwork as well as all safety rules and regulations, have reliable transportation, proper safety gear including steel toe work boots.
  • Owning appropriate tools for the position.
